I got a new insulin pump! Hopefully it will work better and prevent me from becoming blind, neuropathic, impotent, and having a heart attack at age 30. Diabetes isn't very much fun.

I cannot stop listening to Faith No More's "King For A Day". It's an excellent song. Opeth and Judas Priest are probably releasing new music this year. I am hopeful.

I've been trying (but failing) to read Moby-Dick. Every time I open it, I sit down, read a few pages and enjoy them fine, and then - invariably - fall asleep. I then wake up, 45 minutes or so later, without any recollection of what I just read. It's bloody frustrating. If you asked me to summarize the book for you, all I'd be able to say is that a) it involves whales, and b) everyone has names like Queequeg and Ahab and Xqurliunwsfdsy. It's not as if the book's boring, either, it just makes me fall asleep for some mysterious reason. On the bright side, it seems to have cured my insomnia. I may stop trying to read it and go back to Philip Roth for a while.
